We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight for our skilled nursing and long-term care facility. This unique opportunity requires approximately 8 hours per month and offers the flexibility to work 4 hours on site and 4 hours remotely. This would be ideal for a retired or semi-retired physician looking to remain engaged in patient care and healthcare leadership or if you are just looking for a meaningful part-time role.
The Medical Director serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary leadership team, helping to ensure quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence. The role provides professional guidance to medical staff and collaborates with facility leadership to support resident outcomes and quality initiatives.
Salary is 3K a month

Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight and clinical guidance to the facility
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
- Assist with development and review of clinical policies and procedures
- Support compliance with federal and state regulations
- Attend periodic meetings with facility leadership and clinical staff
- Serve as a resource for physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff, and administration
- Promote best practices in resident-centered care
- Current physician license in the State of Vermont
- Experience in geriatrics, family medicine, or internal medicine preferred but other specialties will be considered
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards
