"There are so many wonderful perks about working at mayo Healthcare! Never a dull moment as every activity or every day in the workplace is fun. I love seeing the smiles, the respect, the excitement of being appreciated for a job that comes so naturally with every employee. The residents are so well cared for — loved and treated like family. I have never witnessed such a well managed, respectful, friendly and caring group of people than at mayo! Appreciating the team is not on one particular 'day" or "Week', but every day. My wife Carol just spent several weeks at your facility recuperating from a fractured leg. The care she received at your facility was outstanding. The staff at all levels were outstanding and always very supportive and caring.

Three of the staff were exceptional in their care for Carol. Cindy, Rachael, Emily were always there for Carol.  Mayo is blessed to have these three on their staff.

The entire Mayo staff at all levels were amazing. They were always friendly and supportive and a pleasure to work with. Vermont is blessed to have Mayo team available in time of need. 

Thank you for helping us get our Dad to Continuing Care so he could spend his last week of life on Earth with my Mom right beside him. The staff today was absolutely wonderful. Please let them know how much they are appreciated. 

I want to also take a moment to say that we cannot say enough about your facility, the staff, everything. Dad was not thrilled to be there, he so wanted to just be at home, but we never once felt that he was not in the best place possible. And we especially felt that this weekend, when the end was clearly coming near. The night he passed, not only was he incredibly cared for but so were we. That cart of drinks and snacks in the room for us was amazing and such a great touch. The nurses kept making sure we were ok, asking if we needed anything, etc... I cannot say enough wonderful things and will continue to tell anyone who will listen to me that no matter where they live, if they need their loved one to be in a facility this is the one. 

Such a delicious dinner! The decor was pretty and the staff made sure we had everything we needed and pulled off feeding so many people. Thank you for making this a very special day for our loved ones. 

This was like having Thanksgiving dinner in a five star hotel! They all did an amazing job. This place is the best. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Dear All,

I spent time at Mayo with my dear friend Ruth, January 2nd - 4th and met several staff members, nurses, OT, PT and others. Everyone was so kind and helpful and treated Ruth so well. I am reassured and grateful that she is n your good hands during this challenging time in her recovery.

Thank you all for what you do, taking care of people, not just physical needs but the whole person. And as someone who is careful about not catching nd transmitting airborne viruses, I was happy to see some masking around vulnerable patient. Best wishes for 2026 !

Hey Vicki!

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank all of you for the incredible care you provide to my grandmother.

Since moving in, she has been so genuinely happy, and that means more to our family than I can express. She absolutely loves the music and activities—especially her new favorite, the casino trip! She had a smile on her face the entire time she was telling me about it and kept saying how much she hoped she’d get to go again. Seeing her that excited and engaged warmed my heart.

Your activity department does such a good job creating experiences that bring joy and laughter, and it does not go unnoticed. Just as importantly, the nursing staff are attentive, kind, and treat her like she’s their own “Mimi”—right down to giving her a little good-natured hard time, which she loves.

Thank you all for everything you do each and every day. We are so grateful for the compassion, patience, and love everyone shows to my grandmother and every resident.
