COOK-Full-Time

Mayo healthcare located in Northfield; Vermont is currently looking for an experienced AM Cook. This individual will be passionate about creating high quality, nutritious, thoughtfully presented meals and must possess a commitment to offering the highest standard of customer service to our residents and staff. Responsibilities include:

• Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of Cook.
• Conduct all daily duties in accordance with the Job Duty List and Cleaning List.
• Ensure that menus and extension sheets are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Review all menu requirements prior to the preparation of food.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and the Cook’s Work List, utilizing standardized recipes and ensuring meals are prepared and served on time.
• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance and in accordance with food safety regulations and established portion control procedures.
• Serve all meals in accordance with the appropriate Serving Book.
• Prepare and serve substitute foods to residents who refuse foods offered.

Salary

Up to 21.00 hourly

Requirements

• Familiarity with a wide variety of international cooking such as American, Italian, Mexican, etc
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Willing to be Serve Safe certified
