We currently have positions open for RN/LPN, full-time Night Shift.
Responsible for oversight of resident’s direct care. Responsibilities include team leading direct care staff for residents including medication and treatment administration and documentation.
We are a smalltown nursing facility with a dynamic team-oriented culture.
Salary
Base rates of $30.00 to $50.00 hourly based on Experience and License type

- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Current Vermont Registered Nurse licensure or Licensed Practical Nurse licensure
- CPR-AED Certification a plus but will train

Mayo Healthcare is a small dynamic non-profit organization located in Northfield, Vermont. Mayo is currently looking for a weekend nursing supervisor to supervise staff and coordinate nursing care by providing direction and evaluation of resident’s status. We are an award-winning organization that supports a diverse workforce. Hours of work flexible.
Primary Functions:
- Supervises and evaluates all direct resident care.
- Identify any problems including emergencies and implement interventions as necessary.
- Coordinates activities of nursing staff with other services to ensure a smooth flow of services.
- Supervises and coaches nursing staff for improved performance.
- Assists DNS in preparation of employee performance evaluations.
- Participates in facility educational programs including but not limited to orientation and In-Service of licensed and allied health personnel.
- Assures the completion of timely, accurate documentation and assessments for all new admissions and re-admissions.
- Reports changes in resident condition to Physicians, family member/responsible party and initiates follow up action as necessary.
Required Skills:
- Strong computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently, and complete work accurately and in a timely fashion.
Required Experience:
- Current Vermont Registered or LPN License
- Experience in a supervisor role preferred

Responsibilities include:
- Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of Cook.
- Conduct all daily duties in accordance with the Job Duty List and Cleaning List.
- Ensure that menus and extension sheets are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Review all menu requirements prior to the preparation of food.
- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and the Cook’s Work List, utilizing standardized recipes and ensuring meals are prepared and served on time.
- Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance and in accordance with food safety regulations and established portion control procedures.
- Serve all meals in accordance with the appropriate Serving Book.
- Prepare and serve substitute foods to residents who refuse foods offered.
