Join Us for a Delicious Evening

Sample sweet and savory maple bites created by local chefs at Mayo’s Taste of Maple, March 22, 2024 at the Milano Ballroom at Norwich University. Sip wine, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, vote for Top Chef and the People’s Choice, and bid on one-of-a-kind experiences, services, and gifts at the silent auction. The Taste of Maple benefits Mayo Healthcare, Northfield’s small, award-winning, non-profit senior living facility, which has been caring for residents for more than 80 years.

This year, all proceeds from the Taste of Maple benefit will outfit Mayo’s new Rehabilitation Suites!

We are revitalizing five of our rehabilitation units to complete our established skilled nursing and residential care services. To cover these costs, we need to raise $25,000 dollars by April 2024.

The Mayo Rehabilitation Suites will provide a place for Vermonters to heal from post-surgical care, receive excellent rehabilitation services, and eventually return home or even transition across the building to Mayo Residential Care. The suites will provide an environment that offers catered meals, large private rooms with oversized beds, iPads, and private in-suite rehabilitation services. Mayo Rehabilitation Suites will be beautifully decorated to provide a relaxing environment to promote comfort during healing.

Mayo Rehabilitation Suites will include the following features:

  • State-of-the-art equipment: Advanced medical equipment and technology will assist patients in their recovery process.
  • Expanded facilities: More room for therapy sessions, exercise areas, and private areas for guests and patients.
  • Specialized care programs: Specialized rehabilitation programs will be tailored to different needs, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and more.
  • Enhanced comfort and amenities: A comfortable and supportive environment for patients undergoing rehabilitation, with amenities that aid in their recovery journey.
  • Skilled staff: Experienced and highly skilled healthcare professionals (including physical therapists, occupational therapists, IV certified nurses, and licensed nurse’s aides) to provide comprehensive care to patients.
